Alexis
and
I
met
in
St.
Petersburg,
Florida
roller
bladding
with
a
group
of
friends,
which
would
get
together
every
Thursday
night.
I
was
there
with
several
of
my
friends
and
I
don't
quite
remember
meeting
Alexis
that
evening.
The
following
Thursday
we
met
skating
again
and
I
do
remember
Alexis
from
this
point
on.
I
was
making
some
plans
for
my
coming
birthday
and
told
Alexis
that
some
of
my
friends
and
I
were
planning
to
do
a
skydiving
tandem
jump.
For
my
surprise,
Alexis
told
me
that
he
was
a
skydiver
and
would
be
more
than
happy
to
be
part
of
the
event.
The
funniest
part
is
that
most
of
my
friends
thought
that
Alexis
told
me
about
being
a
skydiver
just
to
impress
me
until
he
actually
showed
up
at
the
dropzone
with
his
skydiving
gear
and
everything
else
and
made
a
jump.
Well,
this
was
pretty
much
the
beginning
of
a
beautiful
friendship.
Alexis
and
I
became
very
close
friends
very
fast,
but
at
that
time
we
were
both
involved
with
other
people,
so
friendship
was
all
we
shared
for
many
years. |
