At
the
time,
Alexis
and
I
had
been
dating
for
a
while.
As
nothing
in
our
lives
falls
into
the
ordinary,
the
proposal
could
not
be
any
exception
to
the
rule.
We
had
planned
to
do
a
jump
out
of
a
balloon
during
sunset.
I
was
not
aware
that
we
don't
quite
get
to
choose
where
we
are
going
to
get
out
of
the
balloon
before
we
jump.
Because
there
were
two
groups
before
us,
It
took
a
little
longer
than
we
thought
before
the
balloon
guide
cleared
us
to
jump.
At
that
point,
the
sun
was
almost
down
and
I
did
not
like
the
area
where
we
would
have
to
land.
So,
I
told
Alexis
that
he
was
on
his
own
and
I
would
land
with
the
balloon.
He
asked
me
if
I
was
sure
about
not
jumping
and
I
told
him
that
I
was
enjoying
the
view
of
that
beautiful
sunset
from
the
balloon.
This
is
when
he
gave
me
a
little
piece
of
paper
all
folded
up.
I
opened
the
note
and
it
said:
"Will
you
marry
me?"
and
right
after
that
he
jumped
out
of
the
balloon.
Maybe
he
was
afraid
that
if
he
stayed
long
enough
I
would
change my
mind
about
him
or
something.
I
never
thought
that
this
would
be
the
way
I
would
get
proposed
to,
but
I
certainly
will
never
forget.
Well,
it
was
very
cute
and
even
though
I
did
not
consider
that
our
formal
proposal,
I
still
said
"Yes".
